According to the third-quarter financial results released by Kangwon Land, the number of domestic casino visitors reached 650,000, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue also recorded 370 billion won, showing a stable growth trend. This performance is analyzed as a result of the government's casino regulation improvement measures being applied in the field, which has enhanced customer convenience. A Kangwon Land official stated that the expansion of complex cultural spaces within the resort and improvements in service quality were the primary factors driving visitor inflow.
Background of Performance Growth
This revenue growth was driven not only by an increase in casino gamers but also by a rise in family tourists utilizing the resort's facilities. Kangwon Land has been introducing various cultural content to move away from a casino-centric business structure and secure its competitiveness as a comprehensive resort. In particular, the linked tourism programs designed for coexistence with the local economy of Jeongseon have been evaluated as successfully established. This diversification strategy is expected to serve as a foundation for Kangwon Land's sustainable growth in the future.
